Baliness family temple ( Merajan /Sangah) is a unite building that involved in traditional house in Bali.Balinese traditional house is built based on local rule ( asta kosala- kosali ) or Feng shew in China. Merajan /Sanggah is always built on the north east side of each Balinese house. Based on the two combination concepts of famous priests, Mpu Kuturan and Dang Hyang Nirata those priests comes from java island. They founded that concept to neutralize the chaos because nine different of ideologies in Hindu.Since their concepts could reduce the uncontrolled situation ,even no more finding conflict about Sekte/ Hindu Sub Believe then it becomes converging.
Merajan/Sangah or shrine in Bali could be used for a number of Balinese ceremonies or known as Upakara Yadnya, those such as wedding ,tooh filling , temple aniversary or etc.Those have series to be prepared and take some time ,energy even financial and Balinese people call those series as yadnya. And all are held based on balinese calender for example once in 210 days for any aniversaries temple.
